This is a tribute to Buffy my pet rabbit who died suddenly in January of a tooth abcess. She was only 8 months old. Buffy was a house rabbit and had a very happy but short life. If you're thinking of getting a rabbit then please EDUCATE YOURSELF first!!! Rabbits need a lot of care and dietry needs that pet shops will not warn you about! Rabbits are the most abandoned pets in the UK because people don't learn enough about them before they buy one and get overwhelmed by the amount of care they need. Rabbits are distructive, they don't like being held, are NOT good pets for children, require a lot of attention, can be aggressive or unresponsive, are difficult to train, they will need to be spayed and vacinated which will lead to costly vet bills, and they're cage/hutches will constantly need cleaned. BUT... for commited owners who have a lot of time and love to give rabbits can also be very affectionate, fun loving, and a fantastic companion just like Buffy was. Before you buy, know what you're getting yourself into! EDUCATE YOURSELF!!!! org
