D.W.'s pet bird, Spanky, dies. She leaves a can of flowers on Spanky's grave after his funeral but finds a toad in there. Arthur takes her to the pet store to buy a new pet to replace Spanky, but they don't find one. The toad reappears several more times, following D.W., but she hates the toad since it won't leave her alone. When it doesn't reappear, she realizes that she misses it.All credits goes to Marc Brown and the Cookie Jar Group.
